DIY Honey Lavender Hair Mask!

Show Some Hair Love!

DIY Hair Mask

Yesterday I put up a new video showing how to make this super easy hair mask that leaves your hair feeling soft, looking shiny, and as a bonus it encourages growth!

What you will need:

1. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
2. Honey
3. Essential Oil (Any will work but I like to use Lavender.)
4. Small Bowl
5. Spoon

Directions:

Heat up the coconut oil in the microwave for a few seconds, then spoon two spoonfuls into the bowl. Next, add only one spoonful of Honey to the mixture. Take your fav essential oil and add two to three drops to your hair mask. Now mix it all together and you should get a mixture the consistency of conditioner. (Doesn't have to be exact don't worry.) Put your hair into a ponytail and apply the mask only to the "tail" of the hair and then wrap up into a topknot. Leave in for 15-20 minutes then shower and style as normal!

How easy is that? Check out my video and I explain why I use each ingredient and specifically what makes them ultra beneficial for your hair.

Easy Gold & Copper Eye Look

Hey Lovelies!

I recently posted an easy eye tutorial featuring the ultimate fall color: Copper. It's very versatile but can be a little scary I must admit. I am very wary of any color that even approaches red because I have applied it wrong before and the result was that I looked very tired/sick. I think the trick here is to incorporate some brown and gold and keep the copper away from the bottom of the eyes.

I'm sure there are many awesome looks that can be created with this fall color and would love to hear how you like to wear copper in the comments below! Feel free to link any videos you have made so I can check them out [:

Enjoy!!

XOXO,

Daly

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee

Josie Maran doesn't disappoint with her line of Cheek Gelee's.

I first saw this on Essie Button's youtube channel and was drawn in by the electric vibrance of this cheek product. I am a sucker for all blushes, stains, any cheek products really. Yes I am that girl who doesn't realize how overboard she went with the blush until by chance-she sees her rosy reflection in a car window or store front! If I only had 15 seconds to get out the door I would throw on some blush and be on my way.

This product is great because it easily blends with fingers or a stippling brush. In spite of the shocking color that is in the pot this cheek gelee provides a cool flush of color and a moisturized dewy finish. (Im assuming that this is because of the coconut.)

Overall, I love this long wearing product! Enough to tempt me to Sephora to swatch the berry version of this product which seems perfect for fall. (:

Let me know if you have tried any of the other colors and what you think!

Win or Bin? Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Liner

Maybelline Master Duo Liquid Liner

"Violet Luster"

I was cruising the drugstore makeup section in search of a purple liner that would be fun to play without the high end price tag and found this! I love many of Maybelline's products and thought this would be a fairly safe bet because of the familiarity of the brand name.

Oh how I was wrong...

Immediately upon application I knew that this was destined for the bin. Honestly the only way I can properly describe the application of this product is that it is like applying purple Kool-Aid onto your eyelids. The consistency was watery and very hard to work with. The color was not build able at all and when I tried to apply a second layer, it simply wiped off the first layer and no pigment was left.

Attached are a few pics demonstrating the poor quality:

The official verdict is in: BIN

Let me know if you have any better liquid liner drugstore alternatives!
